Criminal Checks on Teachers- Which Tutors are Qualified or have CRB Checks to Teach My Child?

A really important article from a colleague who runs a Kip McGrath centre in the North West of England. Would you leave your child with a person who has not been CRB checked, nor trained in educating children or without professional teacher training and Qualified Teacher Status. I know I wouldn’t but many parents do. Most assume that the person tutoring their child must be a qualified teacher to be able to offer tuition. They don’t have to be, and as important, they have compulsion to tell you they aren’t.
