Our two children have grown up surrounded by books and are avid readers.
Hannah at 11 has been a fluent reader and tends to have 2 or 3 stories on the go at once.Alex, now 6, has become a free reader, we can’t stop him reading. He puts us in a moral dilemma, do you tell him off for not going to sleep because he reads? It’s lovely to pause at the bottom of the stairs and hear him read out loud.
